ABOUT ME

I moved to London from Zambia in 1992. I am an experienced Office Manager and Personal Assistant at Director level within Accountancy and Legal settings. I have a BSc Social Science, with a Psychology major. I am currently studying towards an MA in Public Administration with an emphasis on Social Policy.

I am now remarried to my childhood sweetheart after 20 years apart. I have four children, the two older ones are my step children and what a privilege it is to be their mum. The youngest two are my biological children  from my first marriage. All my children are a gracious blessing to me. I would describe my children as the force behind me..... depending on what is happening, this can be a good thing or a bad thing.

As a working mum, my indulgence, apart from being able to drop and pick up my children from school, is getting lost in a good book, the icing on the cake is writing, which I find cathartic.

I am passionate about raising awareness on the seemingly silent issue of coercive control - verbal and emotional abuse and its devastating consequences on the self and family life. I write about social issues, especially those that impact on women's empowerment and children's education. I love to hear from women whose life's troubles has made them stronger rather than broken them and of course, from women who have broken down and are now finally ready to get up. My book "Made In Trouble" is available on Amazon. It is a collection of short stories on the impact of verbal and emotional abuse.

I search for the other side to the story, rather than simply accept the universally pre-conceived conclusions. â€‹There is always another side to the story and I need to tell it.
